ghost of neiman’s past

I love when I find vintage Neiman Marcus.
Especially when I find it for $.50.

A colored stamp sale. Three green stamp fifty cent-ers came home with me. This blouse, a rad jacket (which will be the next post) and a huge, “golden girls,” all silk, purple, flowing lady dress which I sent to Marisa to transform.
Anyway, back to vintage Neiman’s.

The internet gave me nothing…NOTHING! about the history of evan-picone or when NM sold the brand.
The Neiman Marcus tag looks pretty old…60s-70s?!
I’m very curious about what type of internal archives Neiman’s has.
Perfect motivation to dig around and find out.
Cute little puff sleeves and a sorta spacey flora pattern.

The buttons are slightly off center (if you scroll back up see how one side of collar is larger?)
to finish buttoning an inch up the side of the neck :

Look how the pattern matches up beautifully on the front of the blouse.
delightful!
