(was hoping for a few objects flying by me)
Something happens when directors get too caught up in the process.
That something is loss of story.
Here are my interpretations of a few of the silliest strays :
“No! There was a sign”
“Hmmm. Okay. Don’t tell us what it is. Just teach him our ways. And I mean EVERYTHING.”
“I don’t think they will ever give up their land”
“You betrayed me, boy. No legs for you!”
“We are mortal enemies! And we must destroy each other”
“Why?”
“No reason.”
Cameron : “omg guys, I just realized I have fire in only one scene of this movie”
Crew : “hmmm, we could add a big battle at the end.”
Cameron : “Yes! Make it 45 minutes, totally pointless and with as much cliche as possible!!”
Crew: “sweet. More OT for me!”
