secret notes
It was given to my cousin to give to me at a show in Boise, Idaho while I was on stage.
I never saw the author who disappeared by the time I got the note.
He’ll never know that I kept it and it makes me feel special every time I come across it.
Touring with Blake, that night was our first show and every night after he would joke,
“If I don’t get a poem tonight, I’m quitting the tour!”
Reminds me of Post Secret, a social project where people send in anonymous postcards with secrets on them. Very moving stuff.
