PART 1/5  : Songs 2009 Brought Me

Was it something I said?

I first heard this Devotchka song “How It Ends” at the end of “Vigils” at the Kitchen Dog Theater in September. My iTunes tells me it’s from 2004. I listened to their other songs on myspace, but was only interested in this one. I don’t know if it’s the association to the play (yes!) or because the song is deeper and darker than the others (also yes!).
Just luscious and beautifully executed.

I’m sorta creeped out about iTunes tracking songs I have purchased.
I forget to buy instead from Amazon like I forget to bring my “earth-friendly” shopping bags with me into the grocery…ALMOST EVERY TIME! It’s just a mental block.
Paper, please.
