arugula
For lunch I made a poor man’s version of the same meal I made monday night.
Poor Man’s because I swapped sauteed fresh sliced garlic for garlic salt and broke into my reserve packaged Arugula from the supper party.
THANK GOD I didn’t have to use it at the party.
I had bought a huge pile of fresh, loose arugula from Central Market, which turned out to be enough and then some. The loose arugula was soft, gentle, sweet tasting and delicate:
mmmmmmmm
This packaged version is the familiar weed-tasting and weed-textured stuff that turns people off of more exotic greens.
yuck!
Is it because the packaged is Organic? Or because it is packaged?
Actually now that I think about it…pre-packaged spinach seems a little “harder/thicker” too.
hmmmmm.
